Meet Jenn Allen

What You Love. I’m so excited about this month’s Favorite Things newsletter because every January, I focus on self-care and renewal — the whole New Year New You thing! I’ve got some of my favorite new finds for you for your body, mind and soul — I hope you love them as much as I do!

My Favorite Things

Now that the holidays are over take some time to focus on yourself. Here's what I have found works well to improve your mind, body and soul.

Better your body

If you want to improve your physical health but don't know where to start, here are some easy tricks to ignite that fire.

1. Motivational Water Bottle: I love that this water bottle fits into the cup holder on my treadmill, and after my workout, I pop it onto my desk, where it reminds me to keep drinking water. I love this water bottle so much that I bought one for my daughter, too,

who never seems to drink enough. Do you drink enough water every day?

2. Cold Pod: Okay, I know it’s cold outside, but after a strenuous workout, there’s nothing more invigorating or rejuvenating than a quick plunge in the Cold Pod. I’m a cold water immersion therapy nut, and in fact, the whole family dunks in the Cold Pod after a good workout. Forget cold showers, get one of these and really experience a cold plunge!

3. Air Purifier: My husband and I work from home, my daughter is in high school, and my son has a co-op job placement. The kids are always bringing germs home, but I feel so much better with my Medify Air Purifier. Not only does this filter out any smells (we

have a dog and two cats), but it actually cleans the air so the germs the kids are bringing home don’t get me sick. I’ve been sick less with the air purifier on the job, and they have lots of models at different price points, so it’s affordable for everyone.

Sharpen your mind

Here's how I keep myself adaptable, confident and independent in my busy life.

1. Aromatherapy Diffuser: I love nothing more than snuggling up with a good book, a glass of wine and my aromatherapy diffuser. I love this model because it comes with a variety of essential oils, so there’s something

for every mood. It’s so easy to use; the diffuser is stylish and sleek and it fills a large room with a fabulous scent. Fill your home with relaxing scents!

2. Inspirational Calendar: It’s January, which means it’s time for a new calendar, and this inspirational calendar is perfect. I love that every day, I’m greeted with a new inspirational quote or saying, and they’re not cheesy! It looks great on my desk, and its flip-

style, so there’s no tearing off of sheets. This calendar makes a great gift, too, even to yourself!

3. Gratitude Journal: January is all about self-care, and that means taking a few minutes each day to write in my gratitude journal. This journal makes it easy! With clever prompts, room for thoughts, feelings, goals and daily affirmations, I really feel more centered each day after writing in this clever journal. Such an easy way to feel better every day — what’s stopping you?

Good for the Soul

Body and mind are important, but don't forget about the things that might touch you on a deeper level.

1. Pure Daily Care Essential Hyaluronic Moisturizer: When I feel good on the outside, I feel good on the inside, and each day starts with this moisturizer. Winters are hard on the skin, but this moisturizer is lightweight and lightly

scented, and it instantly moisturizes. Forget the more expensive products; this one really works!

2. Cooling Blanket: I never seem to get enough sleep, so the quality of sleep is super important to me. It’s temperature-regulating, so I’m never

too hot or too cold, and since using it, my quality of sleep has vastly improved. This high-tech blanket is affordable, all-natural and available in a variety of colors; sleep better today!
