Specialist Spotlight
Meet Robin Donovan
Hi! I’m the Senior Editor at Food Drink Life. The kitchen is my office, and it’s also my happy
place. I’ve built my successful food blog, All Ways Delicious, developed thousands of recipes, written more than 40 cookbooks, penned articles for major media outlets, and joined colleagues to create Food Drink Life (oh yeah, I’ve also cooked millions of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks — so many snacks!) Join me as we take advantage of the fall weather while it lasts with this collection of my favorite fall things.
My Favorite Things
When the weather starts to cool and the trees start to change color, there is nothing more satisfying than staying warm and watching the leaves fall. These are my favorite at-home foods and activities that are sure to improve your fall.
Favorite Foods
As a foodie, I wouldn’t feel right starting a favorites list without talking about my favorite fall treats:
I love this Crème Brûlée Coffee from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Since deciding to quit dairy and sugar, I’ve been searching for a way to enjoy black coffee, and this is the answer! The rich, creamy vanilla flavor has
a hint of custard and caramel. I’m amazed that I can enjoy a cup without any sweetener or creamer. This Crème Brûlée Coffee is a must-buy for all the coffee lovers out there.
2. Rip van Wafels: Did I say I quit sugar? Okay, maybe I stretched the truth a bit, but I’m working on it! These Rip van Wafels, though. They’re so good, I just can’t resist them. Their layered sweetness and crispy and chewy texture are so satisfying. I love curling up with a cup of hot coffee or tea, a good book, and a few of these bad boys. If you are looking for a sweet treat or haven’t had the chance to try Rip van Wafels, this is your sign.
3. King Arthur Cranberry-Orange Scone Mix: Sometimes, I get the urge to bake, and I just want something quick that I can make with ingredients in my pantry. That’s why I always keep a few boxes of King Arthur baking mixes on hand. The Cranberry-Orange Scone Mix is one of my favorites, and
it’s perfect this time of year with the combo of bright, zesty orange and tart-sweet cranberry flavors. Your taste buds won't want to miss out on these scrumptious scones.
“As long as autumn lasts, I shall not have hands, canvas and colors enough to paint the beautiful things I see.”
— Vincent Van Gogh
Family Favorites
There’s nothing like gathering with loved ones to create cherished memories, and that’s why I’m thrilled to share the things that have become the heart of our family gatherings.
3. Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0: The final touch that has taken our outdoor movie nights over the top is the Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0. While the big screen displays our favorite films, this fire pit adds warmth and ambiance, creating a cinematic atmosphere right in the backyard
— and there’s no pesky smoke, either! So, step away from the pain of maintaining a basic campfire and get the Solo Stove Bonfire 2.0 today!
2. Kodak Full HD Multimedia Projector Kit: With everyone back on the grind after the summer, I’m thinking about fun ways to enjoy the season as a family. An outdoor family movie night feels just right. The Kodak FLIK X10 Projector Kit has seriously upped our backyard movie night game. The movies look crystal clear on the big screen — it’s like having a private cinema under the stars. After buying this Kodak projector, you will never look at a normal TV the same again!
1. S’mores By TerraFlame®: Outdoor movie night obviously requires a special treat, too! Enter S’mores By TerraFlame®. This gem brings the camping experience right to our backyard because who doesn't need more s’mores in their life?
Home Decor
Fall home decor welcomes guests and envelops your living spaces into a cozy embrace of the season. It’s time to transform your home into a fall heaven!
1. Peyton Pumpkin Coir Door Mat: As the days get shorter and colder, I want my home to feel extra cozy and inviting, starting with my front door. The Peyton Pumpkin Coir Doormat is super durable, and the charming pumpkin design gets that cozy, welcoming tone just right. Save your floors from dirt and grime, and buy a seasonal and stylish fall-themed Peyton doormat today.
2. VOLUSPA Spiced Pumpkin Latte Glass Candle: Step inside my home this time of year, and you’ll be greeted with the gentle flicker and warming aroma of a deliciously scented candle. The Spiced Pumpkin Latte Glass Candle gives off a lovely golden light and creamy pumpkin latte aroma that envelops the room. If you are a pumpkin spice lover like me, you need to get your hands on this candle.
3.Fall-Themed Throw Pillows: My sofa needs to be welcoming and cozy, too. These decorative throw pillows effortlessly transform the space with autumn colors and patterns. If you want to infuse your living space with a touch of the season’s magic, fall-themed throw pillows are a necessity.
Self-care Sundays
There is nothing I cherish more than some quality me time, other than my family and friends, of course. That’s why I try to keep my Sundays as free as a parent can for a
self-care day. If you want to make the most of your self-care day, you won’t want to miss out on this list.
1. Ember Mug 2:I live for hot drinks in the fall and winter. The Ember Mug 2 has quickly become one of my most treasured possessions — it magically keeps my hot drinks hot, even when I fix them and then forget to drink them for half an hour. Its innovative design allows me to set and maintain my ideal temperature for whatever I’m drinking, so my coffee or tea stays consistently warm from the first sip to the last. If you are tired of cold coffee, order the Ember Mug 2 today!
2. Detox face mask: The Purifying 2-in-1 Pumpkin Pore Detox Mask and Scrub has been a revelation for me this fall. Its dual-action formula not only deeply cleanses but also exfoliates, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and renewed. The scent of pumpkin spice makes it perfect for the season. This mask-and-scrub combo is a must-try if you’re looking for a pampering experience that feels and smells like fall.
3. Mueller Austria Ultra Kettle: As the days get shorter and cooler, my love for making coffee and tea only intensifies, and this Kettle is an absolutely indispensable part of my routine. The SpeedBoil Tech heats the water so fast, and I can choose the temperature I want so I can use hotter water for coffee and less hot water for more delicate things like herbal teas. If you love warm beverages as much as I do, you need to try the Mueller Austria Ultra Kettle.
